Site Launch
This year’s events have accelerated the development of AllensPie.com. It’s always existed in one shape or form, but I’ve decided now is the time to make full use of my online resources. My physical presence at shops, pop-ups, and festivals will be suspended for the foreseeable future. That’s why features have been added to give customers the same good experience they’ve come to expect from Allen’s Pie.
You’ll be able to place orders online, get answers to frequently asked questions, and learn more about Allen’s Pie. You’ll have access to the full updated inventory of Allen’s Pie. We typically have the famous Allen’s Apple Pie made with True Cinnamon as well as the Blueberry pie made with plump fruit. Both flavors are made with a traditional all-butter crust. I also make a vegan version made with non-soy Earth Balance butter. This inventory is automatically updated so you can see if your favorite flavor is in stock.
Be the first to find out about new flavors such as Cherry or Peach. If you sign up for the newsletter you can be one of the first to discover new flavors or variations. Take a deeper dive into the world of Allen’s Pie by following the Apple Blog. Here, I’ll revisit the past events that shaped my understanding of apple pie. From there we’ll explore what brought me to this current moment in time and my hopes for the future as the business expands and I continue to grow.
The site was designed to give the best customer experience possible. I wanted to build a site that was an example of accountability and trust. I had one large obstacle that delayed the site until its official launch in May. I needed a comprehensive policy for delivery. I wanted my customers to now how much delivery would cost up front. I researched many third-party delivery services, but the global pandemic and its impact on restaurants exposed a weakness in using these apps, spurring local governments to take action. That was enough for me to decide that I would have to literally take delivery into my own hands. I have a delivery map that covers all of the 5 boroughs; Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. I also deliver to parts of Western Long Island, Yonkers, Westchester, and Mt. Vernon. I offer two delivery services; Standard Delivery and Same Day Delivery. Standard Delivery for traditional pie crust will happen between 3 to 5 days with vegan crusts taking 5 to 7 days. If you have a combined order of traditional and vegan pie crust then your order will be processed in 5 to 7 business days. Same Day delivery is for orders placed before 3:00 PM. Any orders submitted after that will be processed the next day. At the time of this blog post, Same Day deliveries are only offered for traditional pie crust. If you’re interested in bulk orders or orders for special events please utilize the contact form found in a link at the bottom of each page.
The most incredible advantage to AllensPie.com is instantly knowing when pie becomes available. I’ve imagined both online as well as brick-and-motor versions of Allen’s Pie. In both versions I imagined a bat signal that alerts my customers as to when pie is available; The Pie Signal. At this site that signal is known as the waitlist. If the pie you want is out of stock, join the waitlist to be alerted as soon as it becomes available.
By visiting the Frequently asked Questions section of Allen’s Pie, you can learn about reheating and storage. You can also learn about other flavors as well as more details related to shipping and delivery. This section will be updated as more questions come in and the business grows.
Subscribe to “The Apple Blog” for a more in-depth look into how and why I make pie. I’ll also highlight my favorite entrepreneurs along the way. They have become an integral part of my journey. The single purpose of Allen’s Pie is to raise the bar on what is expected from a dessert. I would love to take a pie out of the oven and immediately give it to each customer. This site is the next best thing.
